What do I do? After three years, 800 hours of specialized training as a yoga therapist after my 500 hours yoga teacher training, I focus on healing my clients both individually and in groups, online and offline, utilizing every yoga tool available: pranayama with its various techniques, asanas, visualization, meditation, mantras, and mudras and other.
Yoga therapy is a one-on-one practice, a teacher with a student. The student receives a personalized weekly assignment to practice on their own. After completing it, they meet with the teacher who practices alongside the student and provides them with the next week's assignment. After four sessions, there's usually a two-week break in consultations for the following month, and eventually, meetings occur once a month. This way, I work with people suffering from hernias, joint pain, internal organ diseases, etc., based on the student's requirements. This schedule allows the teacher to monitor the healing process and adjust or supplement the student's exercises as needed. I also provide recordings of classes for my students to practice independently. The cost for a session with a yoga therapist is $80. I work with my clients online or visit them, so they could practice in the comfort of their own home.
After the yoga therapy clients may continue their individual assignments or join an online live group class where they still receive personalized attention, with tasks adjusted to their needs, gradually reducing the necessity for individualized approaches. Group classes are live-streamed three times a week, focusing not just on the physical aspect but also on theory. Each class begins with discussions on anatomy, the philosophy of yoga, and its history to deepen understanding and move beyond the stereotype of yoga being merely a stretch exercise. I also provide recordings of classes for my students to practice independently. The current cost for group sessions is $90 per month. If you practice yoga as a group I lead your class online or offline in Fort Myers, FL area.
I also participate in medical research as a yoga instructor and yoga therapist. Currently, I'm leading yoga classes at a local university as part of a study on the effects of yoga on heart rhythms and neurological disorders. This involvement not only allows me to contribute to the scientific understanding of yoga's benefits but also enables me to integrate evidence-based practices into my teaching and therapy sessions, enhancing the well-being of my students.
In addition to the regular "on-the-mat" classes I offer for various ages and levels of fitness, I actively collaborate with nursing homes, where I teach chair yoga or wheelchair yoga to groups of patients diagnosed with dementia, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and other similar conditions. I have developed my own unique methodology and program for teaching yoga to this category of my clients. Each class includes memory exercises, coordination, reaction speed enhancement, classical music, singing, and even the use of foreign languages (Italian, Russian), all tailored to enrich their experience and cater to their specific needs. This approach not only aids in their physical well-being but also stimulates their cognitive functions and emotional health.
Currently, I have one consistent group of students in my online yoga class. We meet online via Zoom three times a week on Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 8:00 am Eastern Time. This Yoga class is conducted in Russian language. The time and days are chosen for convenience since I have students from all over the world - US, Europe, Eurasia. I provide classes in English, Russian and Italian languages as well.
The Group Therapeutic Yoga class is designed for people of all Yoga levels and all ages. Usually, I get to work with students with some health issues including musculoskeletal issues, depression, anxiety, sleeping problems. I also work with people during rehabilitation from surgeries. Yoga heals a body overall, it clears your mind and restores your wellbeing. However, I have absolutely healthy individuals in my class who like to concentrate on their mind and body, need to be guided in their Yoga practice, or just prefer gentle therapeutic yoga.
To register for a group lesson, you can contact me directly via email at Yoga4u@usa.com After processing payment you will be provided with a direct Zoom meeting link that you would be able to use for a class. Price for ONE MONTH of Group Yoga $90.
As a therapeutic yoga teacher and yoga therapist at training, I teach yoga in the local hospitals, rehabilitation centers, senior housing and work with private individuals and groups. I have experience teaching yoga to patients with dementia, ALS, Alzheimer's, cerebral palsy, autism, musculoskeletal system problems, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and post-operating conditions. Yoga cannot treat disease as medical professionals do but it might improve overall wellbeing and quality of life. With the doctor's permission and approval, many people practice yoga and start feeling better, stronger, and happier. Also, I teach seniors and people who wish to study all tools of yoga such as meditation, mantra yoga, and more.

As a yoga instructor with years of experience, I teach Hatha yoga in Krishnamacharya (therapeutic) tradition. Private Yoga lessons are great for beginners and advanced yogis. You get personal attention, personalized instruction, and I can easily modify your Yoga practice depending on your needs. Private Yoga classes can be conducted online or in person. In-person private Yoga lessons can only be served in the Fort Myers area.
Yoga Therapy is a holistic and integrative approach to provide a complementary process of Health Care. At the Yoga Therapy sessions, each person is thought individually and with the focus on dealing with the cause rather than the symptoms of the problems. Yoga therapy is not a medical practice, it is not licensed as a medical service, and it should not be considered a substitute for or a cancellation of a doctor's prescriptions. Moreover, it's important that your doctor approves your participation in yoga. Yoga therapy serves as a preventative and wellness-supporting practice that has a beneficial impact on the overall human body, while not being categorized as medical treatment.
The term "therapy" in yoga is used in its original sense of "caring for someone." This emphasizes the practice's focus on nurturing and supporting the well-being of individuals, rather than implying a medical intervention. Yoga therapy aims to offer care through a holistic approach that encompasses physical, mental, and emotional health.
